MOPS is a place where moms can come—just as they are—to build friendships, receive mothering support, practical help and spiritual hope. We meet the first Wednesday of every month from 9-11:30am at the Marley Park Welcome Center, 13118 N Founders Park Blvd, Surprise, AZ 85379
Collect and bring to church your "box tops" and Campbell Soup complete wrappers, so that we are able to support the Navajo Mission School throughout the year and consider joining us on our next mission trip to Rock Point, AZ. in late May
Shoebox Ministry, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit service corporation, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was founded in 1988 with the specific goal of meeting the personal hygiene needs of the homeless and working poor. While they are not a shelter, they do distribute our toiletry kits through agencies and shelters that work directly with them. This is the only such agency in the greater Phoenix area.
The West Valley Food Bank serves hundreds of families in the Surprise, El Mirage, and Youngtown area. Desert Streams supports this important ministry through collecting non-perishable food on the first Sunday of the month. The Youth of Desert Streams often volunteer to help at the Food Bank site. Even 1 item from your cupboard means food on their plate. Give from your heart by sharing the gift of food.
B2H exists to assist homeless families (most often a single mother and her children) move from homelessness to self-sufficiency. It takes over $12,000 to support a family for a year. We have a “HOUSE BANK” on the Information Table for you share your loose change help these families return to wholeness with Jesus as their foundation.
This prayerful ministry of crocheting/knitting reaches out to those in need of encouragement during health concerns or times of bereavement, as well as in celebration of births, baptisms, graduations, and weddings. Recipients of the prayer shawls are literally and figuratively wrapped in prayer.
Donations of unused yarn or money donations for this ministry are thankfully received.
